OJO
From My Eyes...
OJO... A beautiful moment in my Life... An Adventure for all us involved... When I think back to those days, I begin to Smile... What a great learning experience it was... Playing creative, soul provoking music with the most talented musicians anyone could ever hope for... During those days, I was playing bass... On a 5 sting that I pretty much bought for how she looked... She played nicely too, but she looked good... Her name is Silky... I still live with her but she's been on the outs as of late... A little lonely I suppose, but that's another story for another time... OJO covered the spectrum in Style and Taste... Seriously... A crazy whirlwind is how I refer to that Band... But it took me several years away from the project to truly appreciate the beauty that was OJO... In a lot of ways, I've been searching for that feeling ever since... That feeling of ultimate emotion and passion that can only appear with the right combination of hope, desire, creativity, talent, chemistry, and most importantly, the people... I suppose all one has to do is listen to the projects that have risen from OJO... Then a full picture appears... OJO began as a Five Piece, but before it was all said and done, We became 6...

Dave Doran... My true Friend that has a style unto his own... The most aggressive, melodic guitarist I know... Dave and I have the longest musical history of the group... A True Believer... Dave has moved forward with his next concoction, Principle...

Brian Wright... A Brother from way Back... The first time I ever heard this guy play, I knew I was sitting with the Real Deal... A True Poet and everything that comes with that... "A tortured Soul you must be, to walk this path with only your words." L.L.
Brian currently lives in Los Angeles where he's formed Brian Wright and the Waco Tragedies... What I like to refer to, as Sad Bastard Music...

Brandon Marquin... Mystery man # 3... I never met anyone who would practice their instruments for 14 hours a day before I met Brandon... The most dedicated musician I've ever known... Just so you know, Brandon is also the Deacon... (Nice Handle, courtesy of Mr. Freddie Kousal)... A True Artist and Brother...

Tony Aguliar... An Old Friend, Dear Friend... The Beautiful Mind behind the Madness... A Brother of Pure Genious... And I consider myself blessed to have shared the same stage... Lyrics and Concepts are abundant... Check out Tony's newest Brainchild, Spore333... A superb new direction for my favorite Artist...

DJ Terminal, aka Kevin "Lips" Mugillacutti... The last member of OJO... Kevin brought with him an assortment of sounds with his Sax and tables... He became that missing piece in the puzzle... I wish I could have got to know Kevin more, but time wasn't on our side... Until we meet again my friend...

And of course there is myself, Chapa... You are on my site, so I'll assume you know a thing or two about me...

All of us made up OJO... A Flash in the Pan in some eyes... And an Sound unto itself for others... But to me, I can honestly say, this was the time in my life where I learned how to be a True Artist... We were all writers... And we were all students of life... I suppose that's what made OJO, OJO...

I Love you My Brothers...
