CHAPA NEWS

Hello everyone...  The 1st annual Burning Man edition of the Chapa newsletter is out.  If you want to be on the mailing list, just put your email in the below widget.  The Man Burns in 28 days.
LA SHOWS AND PROJECTS:

Tuesday, August 10th, the boys and I will be taking the stage at LaBrie's Lounge in Glendale, CA.  The show will start at 9 pm sharp.    There is no cover and you have to be 21 to get in.  It is a bar you know. This is going to be a fun night for us as we will be sharing the stage with our dear friend, Brother Dave Petrie and Brown Bronco.  A great time will be had by all. We will be a 4 piece for this show as we still have not lined up a steady cellist to join the fray.  All in due time as my father would often say. I have listed the show info below along with a Map to the venue.  See you there.

On the music video front, I just heard from the director, Mr. Mico Montes, that White Flags and Ashed Filled Roads will be in the Can at the end of this week.  We are set for our 1st screening on Aug. 14th with the cast and crew.  The premier will happen in October at a venue yet to be named.  There will be a show by yours truly followed by the viewing of the first ever Chapa music video. Good times.   More news to follow.

Speaking of the video, I am producing an EP for the star of White Flags, Darius Maxey.  Work officially began last weekend with our first vocal session.  This young lad has no fear and an endless supply of confidence.  The initial tracks came out amazing. Good for you little D.  I cannot wait to share the music with everyone.

Keeping with the video theme, I am also finishing up the writing and recording of the music for Welcome Home, directed by Steve Miranda.  A fine independent short film that I've had the pleasure of working on.  This has been an awesome experience that I've wanted to do for some time.  As always, more news to come.
